The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/9/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Club Capri – Gabrielle’s Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
There is no food safety manager certified by this Department (CFSM) on duty as required. A CFSM must be on duty at all times the facility is open and/or food is being prepared. The bartender has a Serv-safe certification, however, it is a food handler certificate. The course and exam must be manager level. Facility must enroll 1 full time employee in an approved food safety course, or sign up for the manager level test, and send proof to BCDH. Repeat Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/23/2020 |
Ice for beverage preparation was not separated from the cold plate and soda lines in the ice bin at the bar. The bartender emptied the bin and provided a divider and new ice. Ice may not be used as food after it has been used as a medium for cooling the exterior surfaces of food such as melons or fish, packaged foods such as canned beverages or cooling coils and tubes of equipment. Some spatulas were observed with damaged edges. Replace spatulas with new food grade utensils that are in good repair. Equipment and utensils shall be designed and constructed to be durable and to retain their characteristic qualities under normal use conditions. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/16/2020 |
Debris observed in the following areas: the blade of the table mounted can opener, the inside of the microwave at the cook’s line, and the doors and door tracks of the beer retail cooler.
