The Allegheny County Health Department’s Food Safety Program conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/19/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Dairy Queen Of Coraopolis was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Milk in Pepsi cooler is at 43F. Discarded. (see note below)
- Pepsi cooler has a ambient air temperature of 43F.
- Employee seen handling cone for soft serve with bare hands. Gloves must be used when touching ready to eat foods.
- Facility was ordered to install a hand wash sink during last initial inspection. No hand sink has been installed since then.
- No one currently working is certified as a food protection manager.
- One dumpster lid is open.
