The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 9/9/2020 As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 12 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Uncovered tray of chicken wings stored on speed rack in walk-in freezer.
  • Soda gun holster unclean at clubhouse bar.
  • TCS foods observed with internal temperatures of 45-47F in 2 door reach-in refrigerator near seafood/meat walk-in refrigerator. Facility relocated all foods to refrigeration unit(s) confirmed to be holding an approved cold holding temperature during inspection.
  • 2 door reach-in refrigerator adjacent to former meat/seafood walk-in refrigerator observed with an ambient temperature of 50F, with TCS foods held inside with an internal temperature of 45-47F. Facility must immediately stop using the unit. Facility may not use the unit until serviced by licensed professional, AND unit is operating at 41F or below, AND written permission is granted by MCOPH. E-mail service report to email address provided. Failure to comply or await permission before using unit may lead to legal action.
  • Rodent-like droppings observed in dry storage room and linen storage room on main floor adjacent to kitchen. Facility must clean and sanitize all areas and have licensed pest control service. Send completed pest control work order to email provided within 10 business days. Pest control report must state treatment of target pest.
  • Knives stored in crevices between equipment at cook’s line.
  • Ice accumulation observed in ice cream chest freezer.
  • Absorbent cloth used to line cutting board at cook’s line.
  • Torn door gasket observed at 1 door reach-in refrigerator at cook’s line.
  • (3 times repeat violation) Damaged wall tiles at spice rack storage area near 3-compartment sink. Failure to correct and maintain multiple repeat violations may lead to legal action.
  • Syrup accumulation observed beneath BIB soda dispenser in downstairs area.
  • Damaged/improperly sized light shields observed at light fixtures in ware washing machine room.
