The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/7/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Quick Mart Stop was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

According to reporting by The Philadelphia Inquirer the Quick Mart hasn’t passed an inspection since at least October 2016:

  • Oct 14, 2016- 5 violations with 2 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Mar 31, 2017- 5 violations with 2 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Oct 20, 2017- 5 violations with 2 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Mar 22, 2018- 6 violations with 3 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Aug 30, 2018- 14 violations with 5 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Apr 8, 2019- Inspection because of complaint- 11 violations with 4 food borne illness risk factor violations.
  • Oct 10, 2019- 4 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Lacking single service towels for hand sink.
  • Facility lacking soap at hand sink employee restroom
  • Food stored on floor in walk-in refrigerator
  • Rusty shelves walk-in refrigerator
  • Stained ceiling tile employee restroom
  • Filters above cook line equipment unclean
