The Allegheny County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/19/2021 at Lins Garden. During this inspection a total of 13 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Sealed clams and unsealed, loose pork are being thawed together in stagnant water. The water read 52 °F.
- Several employees were not wearing masks upon entry to the establishment
- In the stand-up cooler next to the two preparation coolers, sauces were being stored, loosely covered, underneath raw meats. No leakage was present

- Sauces and garlic in plastic containers are being stored, uncovered, in the walk-in cooler.
- A knife, not in use, was being stored in between the two prep coolers.

- The dumpster lid is open and the surrounding area has scattered debris.
