The Chester County Health Department conducted a follow-upĀ retail food inspection on October 30, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Chick-fil-A in Exton Square Mall was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 1 violation was found.
The inspector made the following comment about the violation, “Live/dead roaches were observed in the following areas: On floor and in doorway in the storage room where the walk-in refrigerator and freezer are located, inside door into kitchen, at mop sink, at drain of the three bay sink, on floor under ice machine, on floor by hand washing sink near salad prep bain marie, at front counter area, on floor behind breading table, and on floor of overflow storage area Room W233. Continue coordinated, required pest control.”
The Department conducted a regular unannounced inspection on October 23, 2019, which the restaurant failed. A follow-up inspection on October 28, 2019, found, “Dead and alive roach like activity observed in glue traps,under 3-bay sink, around electrical box and around door frame from hallway.”
