Lower Providence Dunkin’ Donuts fouls inspection; Interior of ice maker unclean, expired milk, lacking soap at sink in restroom

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/9/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Dunkin’ Donuts in Lower Providence Township was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 12 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Facility lacking soap at sink in restroom.

  • Interior of ice maker unclean.

  • Expired gallon of milk in refrigerator. Date marking 7/5/20. Facility voluntarily discarded.

  • Facility lacking working thermometer in walk-in freezer.

  • Light and airspace at bottom/side of exterior door. (Allows access to vermin)

  • Single service lids stored with food contact surfaces exposed.

  • Aluminum foil covering condenser line in walk-in freezer.

  • Torn door gasket observed on walk-in freezer door.

  • Leak at plumbing of 3 compartment sink. Facility has same-day appointment with plumber. Facility must submit work order to MCOPH. Fax work order to 610-278-5167.

  • Leaking condenser line in walk-in freezer.

  • Ceiling tiles missing above ice machine.

  • Debris under oven.
