The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/5/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Go Minute Stop was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Observed 20 to 30 dead roach-like insects in glue traps throughout the kitchen area.
  • 4 bottles of milk for sale with expiration dates of Jan 1 and Jan 3.
  • Prepackaged subs for sale are not labeled with ingredients / sub-ingredients.
  • Observed food residue on, below and behind the deli slicer.
  • No soap or paper towels at the handwash sink in the kitchen.
  • The Person in Charge does not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection.
  • Observed a leak in the ceiling in the store area. Observed several missing ceiling tiles.
