“Mouse droppings observed on the floor” Saint Maximilian Kolbe School kitchen fails inspection

Aramark- St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish School

The Chester County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 22,2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Aramark’s kitchen at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish School was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Employee personal belongings observed on the shelves in the dry storage room near food and food equipment. Relocate immediately and maintain all employee personal belongings stored away from food and food contact surfaces.
  • Facility currently lacks a Chester County Certified Food Manager. Joann (last-name redacted)  has completed a Serv-Safe Food Manager Certification course. Within ten days, submit the application, fee and a copy of  Serv-Safe to this Department for reciprocity. The application is being emailed at this time.
  • Storage Room adjacent to Kitchen: Mouse droppings observed on the floor under the shelving and in the corners. Clean and sanitize the affected areas immediately. Have the facility treated by Pest Control Operator. Maintain all doors tightly closed. Correct immediately.
