The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/6/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the McDonald’s’s in Mt Pleasant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Chlorine chemical sanitizer residual detected in the final sanitizer rinse cycle of the low temperature sanitizing dishwasher was 0 parts per million (ppm), and not 50-100 ppm as required. Service call placed.
- Top of dish machine has excessive debris/residue build up.
- Mechanical ware washing equipment observed not being operated according to the manufacturer’s data plate. Wash temperature ranges from 86F – 98F instead of minimum of 120F.
- Observed dried on mix residue on top of soft serve machine. Interior of beef freezer has crumb residue.
- The floors in dry storage room have dirt/debris build up.
- Coffee creamer dispensing tube not cut at an angle.
