The Chester County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/14/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the US Gas was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 2 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Commercially processed ready to eat food, located in the small red bull refrigerator, and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened and/or taken out of the freezer. Date the items in the refrigerator and maintain.
- Food facility inspection indicates evidence of roach activity in the kitchen, but unsure if the facility does not have a pest control program. Contact a Pest Control Company with in the week and have the establishment treated to eliminate the roaches. Maintain receipts and regular treatments and monitoring.
