The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/3/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 8 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Raw beef and chicken stored over RTE food items on cart in walk in refrigerator.

2 times repeat violation- Ice machine splash guard unclean.

Dead mouse like rodent observed on trap under shelf in dry storage area. Clean and sanitize area. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH

Container of food stored directly on the floor in back prep area.

Food handler lacking hair restraint.

Inside of pizza drawer unit unclean.

Water pooling on floor due to leak at pasta cooker. Facility stated they have a repair person scheduled.

Dust build up on air vent covers over pizza oven.
