“Rodent-like droppings observed throughout facility” at Chick-fil-A of King of Prussia Plaza says Health Department, 6 violations

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on January 13, 2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Chick-fil-A of King of Prussia Plaza was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Facility lacking a MCOPH CFSM. Facility has 6 months to obtain an approved CFSM certification or apply for an exemption. 

  • Facility lacking visible accurate thermometers in reach in cooler.

  • Rodent-like droppings observed throughout facility. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH

  • Torn door gasket observed on reach in cooler door.

  • Trash debris under shelves in dry storage room.

  • Food debris on floor inside walk in freezer.
