“Rodent-like droppings observed throughout facility;” Bridgeport’s In & Out Food Store hit with 6 violation by Health Department

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on January 3, 2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the In and Out Store in Bridgeport was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • (2 times repeat violation)Facility is lacking a written vomit/fecal incident procedure at time of inspection

  • Facility lacking soap at hand sink in restroom.

  • Rodent-like droppings observed throughout facility. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH. 

  • Ice build-up in chest freezer.

  • Mold like debris on shelves inside walk in cooler.

  • Inadequate lighting in walk in cooler.
