The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/28/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Shell Mini Mart- Dunkin’ Donuts was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.  The inspection resulted from consumer related complaint. 

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Hand sink adjacent to ice machine unclean. Facility instructed to clean and sanitizer during time of inspection.

  • Black mold-like growth observed along interior of ice machine. Facility instructed to clean and sanitize the unit in accordance with manufacturers guidelines.

  • Facility storing can of wiped cream nested in ice bin with ice for human consumption at front counter. Facility voluntarily removed unit and discarded surrounding / top layer of ice in bin.

  • Deep groves and discoloration observed along cutting board at front food prep cooler. Facility instructed to replace or resurface.

  • 55 – physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean

    Comments: facility lining flooring of walk in cooler under milk storage shelving with artificial grass mat. Facility voluntarily removed.

    Comments: debris and accumulation observed along floor of walk in cooler – areas under storage shelving. facility cleaned items during time of inspection.
