The Chester County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/14/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Starbucks in Birmingham was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 2 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Over 20 containers of liquid milk product observed in storage, intended for sale/use in facility, past the sell-by dates. Discard these products. Routinely inspect foods for wholesome dating and remove expired foods from facility.
- There is no Chester County Certified Food Manager (CFM) at this facility. A full-time employee must complete a Department-approved food safety course, complete county CFM application and post county CFM certificate in public view.
