The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on January 15, 2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Tacos Puebla Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 8 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • 5 times repeat violation- Lacking date marking on prepared foods in the walk in refrigerator. Failure to comply may lead to legal action.

  • Product lacking ingredient labels in retail cooler.

  • Mouse like droppings observed on the floor under dry storage shelves in back storage area. Clean and sanitize area. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH

  • Food items stored in grocery style bags in reach in freezer.

  • Food items uncovered in refrigeration units.

  • Wet wiping cloth stored outside of sanitation solution.

  • Takeout containers stored with food contact surface exposed.

  • Lacking Quaternary Sanitizer test paper. (leaves restaurant unable to test of sanitizer levels)
