The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/14/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations The Burger Shop was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Facility lacking sign stating inspection reports available on request. EHS emailed. Post.

Facility lacking current Certified Food Safety Manager. Full time employee is signed up for Serv Safe class on 2/24/20. Once certificate is received, submit copy of certificate, application and applicable fees to 364 King St, Pottstown PA 19464. EHS emailed CFSM application.

Utensils stored in stagnant water at 80F. Store utensils on a clean surface. If storing in water, water must be at 135F or running. Facility removed utensils from water and stored on sanitary surface.
