The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on DATE. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Trattoria Totaro in Conshohocken was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 17 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • 3xR- Facility lacking current MCOPH CFSM. Facility has 5 business days to submit reciprocity or provide proof of enrollment in an approved course. Failure to comply may lead to legal action.

  • 2xR- Lacking hand soap at hand wash station when entering kitchen.

  • Improper date marking for shellstock tags after product has been consumed/sold.

  • Raw beef over RTE food items in walk-in refrigerator.

  • Cutting board at prep unit and bread station with grooves and discoloration.

  • Can opener piercing point unclean.

  • 2xR- Lacking date marking on open packages of TCS food items and prepared food items.

  • Lacking visible accurate thermometer in prep unit and walk in refrigerator.

  • Bulk dry goods stored in secondary container lacking label.

  • Dead mouse observed on a trap and mouse like droppings observed on floor under racks and equipment at cook line, ware wash area, basement dry storage areas, restroom, walk in refrigeration, stairway leading from basement and on shelf under grill. Clean and sanitize area. Facility must have a licensed pest control company treat area within 10 business days. Send treatment work order to MCOPH.

  • Scoop lacking handle stored in bulk dry goods.

  • Fan blades in storage area, shelf under the grill and top section on dish machine unclean.

  • Ice build up in 1 door reach in freezer.

  • Condensation pipe from compressor unit in walk in refrigerator damaged and not plumbed.

  • Walk in refrigerator floor with rust build up throughout.

  • Wet mop head stored in mop bucket.

  • Lacking light shield or shatter resistant light bulb at back prep area.
