The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/21/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Wendy’s Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Shake brush hanging in walk-in cooler has mold-like growth.
  • Floors in drive thru, under prep & 3-part sinks, fryers, dry storage and walk-in cooler have debris/grease build up. Wall behind fryers has heavy grease build up.
  • Gaskets on bottom salad drawer and fry drawers have black build up and debris.
  • The food facility does not have the original certificate for the certified food employee posted in public view.
  • The handwash sinks located in the prep area and restrooms do not have water at a temperature of at least 100°F. Water is 85F-91F. Water at 3-part sink is 110F.
  • Several floor tiles are chipped in fryer area. Repair.
